Mouthguards & Performance Mouthwear

Our office was one of the first in the country to offer performance mouthguards and mouthwear to our patients. Studies have shown that Under Armour Performance Mouthwear reduces the body’s production of cortisol (the stress hormone) up to 49% and lactic acid (which causes muscle fatigue) up to 25%. The mouthwear also increases strength and endurance, improves reaction time and peripheral vision, and results in an overall increase in performance. We also create custom mouthguards for our patients, with or without the performance-enhancing technology. A mouthguard should be used during any activity that could result in a blow to the face or mouth. A properly fitting mouthguard can help prevent broken teeth and injuries to the lips, tongue, face or jaw.
